Volleyball SmartSheet is an App that allows referees to directly manage the game’s score sheet from their referee stand. The app covers all aspects of score management, without limitations. Currently, it is available for free on the Google Play Store for Android.

The main reasons behind this initiative are:

1. At the amateur level, referees should be able to personally manage the game’s score sheet in a simple and straightforward way, without requiring organizers to involve a scorer, who additionally needs to be motivated, trained, and often compensated.
2. The game score sheet is an official document, an integral part of the organization and execution of a match, and it should be overseen by the appropriate governing bodies of volleyball (confederations, national, or local federations).
3. A Federation or organizing entity will never truly “own” its data—its match records—until it owns the software and the platform for transmitting and archiving this data.

From these considerations, the idea was born to create a smartphone app and make it freely available to the entire volleyball community.

The app is available on the Play Store. It works offline and allows full management of the referee’s score sheet for a volleyball match, including printing and sending the official report in PDF format—all free of charge. Additionally, it connects via WiFi or Bluetooth to the LEDbox scoreboard display from Tech4Sport, allowing teams and spectators to view the score in real-time.

The app is also equipped with advanced features, such as multi-language support and the ability to interface with the databases of federations or sports organizations. These features can be activated through a service and support agreement, with costs tailored to the size of the federation.
